COVID-19 notice: Until further notice, all people using a dark site must adhere to all public health orders and recommendations.
Important: If you are not familiar with dark sites, please read Light Etiquette for Dark Sites before you go. Thanks.
The Waskahegan dark site is rarely used because it is not substantially more convenient to access from Edmonton and the site is not as dark as the Blackfoot Dark Site.
The site is accessed by following Wye Road east through Sherwood Park until you get to the intersection with Township Road 524. Turn left at this point and continue on until 524 “T”-intersects with North Cooking Lake Road (Range Road 210). Turn right, and go approximately 500 metres south until you reach the Warden’s office (on your left). Turn left and proceed to the site.
