The sky took centre stage at the Jasper Dark Sky Festival, October 25-27, 2013. The RASC Edmonton Centre participated in the festival with 15+ volunteer astronomers. The weather was outstanding for Friday Oct 26 and the public star gazing on the shores of Lake Annette. It was a busy evening with 20+ telescopes showing the autumn’s finest celestial objects to several hundred people. Saturday Oct 27 saw cooler weather and clouds arrive in the Jasper area. The Pyramid Island Starlight Adventure was very nice but the clouds and light rain did not permit any astronomical viewing.
